A new five-axis DMG machining center is operational at Keller Technology – Buffalo, following a smooth installation and test period. The DMG/MORI DMC 160 U is a DuoBlock Universal five-side/five-axis machining center with XYZ travel of 63″ x 55.1″ x 43.3″. The machining center features a dual rotary pallet system, 12,000 RPM/70 hp motor spindle, and a vertical chain magazine with 240 tool pockets. Key benefits of the system include the ability to set up on one pallet while machining on the other pallet, and reducing spindle downtime via the fast chain magazine.
